See a Tiny Matt Damon in the New Trailer for Downsizing

How do we solve the problem of the planet’s overpopulation? Well, according to Alexander Payne, director of Election and Sideways, the solution is both simple and complicated: Just shrink all the humans down to a fraction of their size. That’s the premise of his new film, winkingly called Downsizing, which follows the adventures of a man who decides to go through with the process. The film stars Matt Damon, and it seems like life in his newest scifi venture might go a lot better for him than it did in The Martian.

In his new shrunken down world, money is worth more, vodka lasts for weeks, and there’s a Cheesecake Factory around ever corner (also, his anatomy seems to have shrunk down proportionally). But given that this is a science fiction story, things are probably not going to stay so peachy long-term. Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Christoph Waltz, and Hong Chau co-star in the movie, which comes out December 22. Watch the full trailer below.
