Plenty more gleeful gasps followed Monday night at the Boston Opera House as the full season lineup was announced, with shows ranging from childhood favorites like The King and I to a number of performances involving magic: the classic Wicked, actual magic show The Illusionists, and Finding Neverland, which was developed in Cambridge by Diane Paulus at the A.R.T.
But the best were saved for last: Something Rotten! will show in Boston next January, and in the 2017-2018 season, Hamilton will make its way to the Hub. Now kids, if you haven’t heard the hype about the wildly successful Broadway run of Hamilton, you’re behind. Catch up by watching it win a Grammy, and check out Lin-Manuel Miranda rapping with President Obama and Emma Watson. Who knew Hermione could beatbox?
