Tom Brady Reads Peyton Manning’s Trolling Letter in ESPYs Sketch

The rivalry continues.

Tom Brady may not be having a good week, but at least he got a few laughs at Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards.

The Patriots quarterback was one of several celebrities and athletes who showed up during a hilarious sketch about retired NFL star Peyton Manning. Brady joined former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, and the rest of the Manning family for an ESPYs skit where they read letters penned by the former Colts great.

As Peyton’s biggest rival, Brady received a trolling message from his nemesis, who took a jab at the Patriots star for not being able to beat his brother Eli.

“I just want you to know that I think of you as a brother,” Brady said as he read Peyton’s letter. “A brother who lost to my other brother all the time.”

While the New England quarterback may have gotten burned by his former archenemy, Eli also got some flack from Peyton. In his letter to Jeter, Peyton jokingly declares the ex-MLB star his favorite New York athlete, even though his sibling plays in the Big Apple too.

“You’re my favorite New York athlete,” Jeter said while reading the letter. “Don’t tell Eli, or tell him. Screw it.”
