Donnie Wahlberg Is Winning the Boy Band Turf War
New Kid on the Block Donnie Wahlberg had a perfect response to former kid pop star Aaron Carter’s ridiculous story about getting beat up in Boston for stepping on New Kids turf.
Before we get to it, let’s recap: Carter posted a photo of his roughed up face to Instagram along with a definitely-n0t-made-up story about being in Boston to give a concert. Carter says several guys drove up to him in a gold Chevy Malibu and told him he was on “New Kids” territory. These men then reportedly jumped Carter, but don’t worry, he won the fight.
If you’re wondering whether this story might have some “truthiness” to it, consider that Carter’s older brother, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter said of it, “It’s just a little strange the way the whole situation went down. But you know, it’s my brother. He’s young. I was young one time.” (We speak subtext, and the translation there is, “hahaha nope, absolutely not.”)
Indeed this story amused quite a few people, which brings us to Wahlberg, who was among them. He tweeted today:
A Chevy Malibu with a bunch of mean looking girls inside keeps circling me. Uh-oh… Cincinnati is 98 Degrees turf! This could get violent.

The New Kids are actually performing in Cincinnati with fellow boy band 98 Degrees tonight. And with that, we’re done here. Aaron Carter, you have lost the boy band turf war.
