The Vintage Tea and Cake Company Brings Your Bridal Shower to Wonderland

Adel Donegan knows how to throw a party. A tea party, that is.
She and her team at The Vintage Tea and Cake Company host lovely get-togethers, complete with finger sandwiches, scones, and, of course a nice pot of hot tea (or a pitcher of iced tea, if you prefer). Previously operating out of her Arlington home, this hostess with the mostess has recently opened up a store front in Belmont. Now brides-to-be can go on site to pick out the right china for their at-home tea party, snack on treats, and sip freshly brewed tea or coffee to-go.

For bridal showers and weddings, her menus are classic and refined (and of course, flexible). She offers classic finger sandwiches, such as cucumber egg salad, caramelized onion and goat cheese, chicken salad, and roast beef with horseradish. For the sweet tooth, she can provide assortments of pastries such as scones served with jam and butter, chocolate-dipped butter cookies filled with jam or ganache, lemon squares, mini cheesecakes, French macarons, and mini-fruit tarts.
The tea list is fit for a queen, from basic English Breakfast and Earl Grey to Berkshire Apple & Fig and Vanilla Chai Spice. For an iced option, choose from Afternoon Apricot, Berkshire Apple & Fig, Earl Grey, Very Berry, Strawberry Kiwi, and Key Lime Ceylon.

Of course, a proper tea party also should have lovely tableware, and Donegan brings everything needed to create a perfectly refined fete in your home: tiered cake stands for all your nibbles, vintage china teacups and saucers, dainty condiment bowls for jam and butter, lace tablecloths, and centerpieces such as vintage flower vases.

Vintage Tea delivers to events up to 1.5 hours away from the Arlington/Belmont area. Donegan brings all food, tea, and crockery, sets up the tableware and food for you, then leaves you to your party. The tea brewing can be DIY (she provides you with electric hot water urns and instructions), or she can have someone stay and serve both tea and food for an extra charge. Then she’s back after your event to pick it all up, dirty dishes and all.
We think your bridal shower just got fancy.
