Becca Moot Photography

My Photography Style
Personal, authentic, and photojournalistic.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
Before the wedding starts, a lot of my couples will do something the morning of that’s totally normal to them, like take their dog for a hike or grab breakfast with their families. There’s something so genuine about that. Being a part of such raw happy moments is always the best because you know that one day they’re going to look back on those photos and feel exactly what they felt in that moment.
My Favorite Instagram Post
This one really captures how beautiful getting married in Boston is. This was totally unplanned and the couple was just having a quiet moment before their ceremony, but I was lucky enough to capture it while the light was hitting just right.

My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
Hands-down the first look. The moment the couple sees each other gets me every time.
My Favorite Instagram Post
I recently photographed this couple and it made me love what I do all over again. You could actually feel the energy of their love all around. It was one of my favorite days in eight years of photographing weddings.

Catherine Threlkeld Photography

My Photography Style
Emotive, timeless, and joyful.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
I love the walk down the aisle, just after the first kiss. It’s such a big moment and there’s so much love in the air. I also really love parent dances and I almost always get teary as I photograph them.
My Favorite Instagram Post
This is a recent favorite. I have the most entertaining and vibrant couples, and engagement sessions are our time to connect and laugh. Andi and Ed were especially warm and inviting to me for their engagement session.

Elizabeth LaDuca

My Photography Style
Emotive, natural, and refined.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
It’s a tie. I love all of the joy and energy at the end of the ceremony. It’s also such a wonderful moment to discover those little gestures unique to each couple. I also love when we sneak away for a few photos as the sun is setting. It is such a wonderful time for couples to reconnect and have a moment together after celebrating with their loved ones, and the light is gorgeous, so it makes for a lovely few minutes to let things sink in and be present on the day!
My Favorite Instagram Post
I love this moment from a recent June wedding, where the bride is taking a first look at her new wedding band as the groom reaches for her hand on a brief sunset stroll. It represents the types of moments I seek out on a wedding day: the in-between candid gestures that speak volumes about a couple’s relationship. The scene is filled with beautiful light and emotion, and it takes me right back to how it felt in that moment.

Erica Ferrone Photography

My Photography Style
Genuine, photojournalistic, and timeless.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
My favorite moments are the unexpected ones. A groom once grabbed a drink tray and surfed the crowd at his reception. Another time, a beloved grandfather surprised my bride and groom at their wedding when they didn’t think he could make it. These are the moments that make a wedding day special and unique.
My Favorite Instagram Post
One of my favorite posts is from a wedding I photographed about 15 years ago. It was one of my very first weddings and I was so excited when I got this shot. I’ve been hooked ever since.

Any part of the day where the couple finds some time and space to just go slow with each other. That’s where the magic happens. And dancing! We love, love, love a killer dance party.

K+O Photo

My Photography Style
Vibrant, authentic, and playful.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
I consistently enjoy photographing the newlyweds as they walk back down the aisle as a married couple for the first time. Their faces are always full of pure, genuine joy, and their families’ faces are full of happy tears as they watch the couple walk towards the beginning of their lives together. It warms my heart every single time without fail.
My Favorite Instagram Post
My favorite post is from a recent June wedding. The bride and groom were getting married in downtown Boston on Pride weekend. Instead of stressing about the fact that a parade full of tens of thousands of people would be marching right in front of where they wanted to take photos of the bridal party, my super awesome couple decided they wanted to join the parade for photos. It was such an amazing moment full of so much color and love and spontaneity.

Kadri Photo

My Photography Style
Intimate, passionate, and emotional.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
The first look. I like the privacy and intimacy of this concept. Unlike seeing each other at the ceremony, which is also special, this time is all about the two of you: your hugs, kisses, laughs, tears, and all the loving words you can whisper to one another. Plus, holding each other before the ceremony calms your nerves big time.
My Favorite Instagram Post
Love this reception moment of these two [love] birds—and how tenderly they hold one another for the kiss, creating this quiet moment in the middle of the night full of celebration.

Lauren Dobish Photography

My Photography Style
Joyful, genuine, and timeless.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
I love sneaking my couples back outside for a few extra portraits at sunset. Most of the wedding-day formalities are over by the time we go back outside, so I love that my couples get to spend a few minutes alone reflecting on their wedding day and just enjoying each other as a married couple. This is always such a fun five to 10 minutes, and these portraits always end up being my favorite.
My Favorite Instagram Post
I love a good veil shot and when you have a couple as awesome as this one, with a background that matches them perfectly, it doesn’t get much better!

Lisa Rigby Photography

My Photography Style
Observation, people, and connection.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
Dancing! It’s the time of day where people let loose and everything is just totally unscripted. I often find myself smiling and laughing as I’m editing the dance party photos.
My Favorite Instagram Post
I really love this photo of a bride with a wedding guest at the Boston Public Library. It isn’t perfectly sharp and I like that, because the movement captures the mood and feeling. It’s relatively easy to set people up and say “stand there” in some great light and take a photo, but getting these unscripted connection moments really takes a lot of observation, experience, and sometimes just plain luck.

Lynne Reznick Photography

My Photography Style
Classic, effortless, and authentic.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
The moment when the couple sees each other for the first time. The nerves and anticipation always build leading up to this point, and the wave of emotion that shows on their faces when they can finally hug and kiss is incredibly emotional. I love seeing their anxiety melt into relief as huge smiles light up their faces and happy tears well up in their eyes.
My Favorite Instagram Post
This image is one my latest favorites because it captures the joy and love they’re sharing during their first dance. Genuinely immersed in each other and totally blissfully happy.

Mark Spooner Photography

My Photography Style
Immersive, emotive, and honest.
My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
I love the energy and anticipation found in the moments of preparation before the ceremony. People are their most honest selves when they’re anxious [or] excited, and there is something really satisfying about documenting moments shared with brides and grooms as they get ready for their wedding day.
My Favorite Instagram Post
This is arguably one of one my favorite photos because it combined so many elements of story at once. The bride and her husband had been anxiously eyeing an impending rain storm all day, hoping to avoid it. The rain held off until all the important outdoor events had occurred, but during their reception, they decided to walk out into the rain on the deck and enjoy a dance together as their guests mingled around them.

My Favorite Instagram Post

My Favorite Moment to Capture at a Wedding
I have so many. I love when brides see themselves in their dress for the first time. I love the way fathers look at their daughters walking down the aisle. I love how the grooms look when they see their bride coming down the aisle. And I love the moment when the couple is introduced husband and wife.
My Favorite Instagram Post
This one, where a storm was moving in. This wedding was so full of love and emotion—pure magic.
