Bridal Bouquet: Concord Chic

The historic town has alomst everything you need for a modern wedding.

The colonial charm of Concord might distract you, but don’t forget the task at hand: You have a wedding to plan, and you can find everything from beautiful invitations to memorable favors right here.

Not everything in Concord is old-fashioned. Case in point: Maggie Taylor Boutique (83 Main St.), a fashion-forward shop stocking an assortment of potential bridesmaid dresses, whether you want to go the Nicole Miller route or opt for something a little more flirty by Tibi or Parameter. To go with the gals’ dresses (or yours), consider the feminine jewelry by Cocotay.

More casual dresses and separates for a rehearsal dinner on the beach or a honeymoon evening under the stars are in store at Melon (44 Main St.), one of the few local purveyors of our favorite eco-stylish (really!) line, Stewart+Brown.

Find the right undergarment to go with your backless or strapless gown at French Lessons (8 Walden St.), and pick up a few pretty little lacy things for your honeymoon, too, at this lingerie and casual clothing boutique.

We’re hard-pressed to find a florist that creates more consistently clean and elegant arrangements than Winston Flowers (32 Main St.), and its Concord location is smack in the middle of town—why go anywhere else?

Register for gifts—Simon Pearce glassware and pottery, Mariposa serving pieces, bamboo cutting boards—at Marco Polo (9 Walden St.). While you’re there, look for something that says “thank you” to those who’ve helped you get ready for your Big Day.

Visit The Dotted i (55 Main St.), an adorable stationery shop, to be inspired by a wide selection of clever engagement party and rehearsal dinner invites (from whimsical margarita shapes to preppy sailboat themes), plus elegant and contemporary wedding invitations.

Verrill Farm (11 Wheeler Road) is known for supplying Boston’s best restaurants with outstanding produce—but they also offer fresh, simple catering. Hors d’oeuvres specialties include Belgian endive with crab; fig, walnut and brie in phyllo; and crab cakes with red pepper rémoulade—as well as outstanding New England-made food products, such as Stonewall Kitchen jams and pancake mixes that are perfect as favors or in welcome baskets for your guests.
