Real New England Weddings: Lauren Deysher & Paul Gojkovich
January 2, 2010
Middlesex School, Concord,
Four Seasons Boston
WHEN A BLIZZARD BLEW into town the weekend of her impending nuptials, Lauren got the chills — the good kind, that is. “It was a winter wonderland,” she says. It wasn’t the first time she’d been pleasantly surprised, however: To propose, Paul showed up unexpectedly at her New York City apartment, then whisked her off for a bash with family and friends.
Lauren always knew where they’d marry: at the Memorial Chapel at Concord’s Middlesex School, her alma mater. Though the snowfall posed minor problems (“A few limos couldn’t make it up the hill,” the bride says), the ceremony and black-tie reception went off without a hitch — and the wintry scenery was enough to give everyone goose bumps.
It was all smiles as the bridesmaids waited for the groom and his men to arrive. They wore strapless Priscilla of Boston dresses and necklaces by Erwin Pearl, which were gifts from Lauren.
On their wedding day, Paul first saw Lauren on the landing of her parents’ staircase. The eager groom kept trying to come up the stairs several times before the bride was ready.
With its soaring ceilings, Corinthian pillars, and majestic organ, the Memorial Chapel was the bride’s dream ceremony location.
Tall candles added ambiance to the reception setting.

The floral arrangements were designed in an all-white palette.
The cake’s design echoed the Alençon lace details on Lauren’s gown.
The couple made a grand entrance at the Four Seasons.
