Twelve Chairs offers new and vintage finds for eco-savvy style hounds.
Tired of being forced to choose between beauty and the environment, interior designers Roisin Giese and Miggy Mason decided to open their own shop, where compromise wouldn’t be necessary. The new boutique, Fort Point Channel’s Twelve Chairs, offers home furnishings and gift items that each meet at least 6 of their 12 “People and Planet Principles,” such as local sourcing and use of nontoxic or organic materials. They also offer a menu of interior design services. “We don’t want people buying something just because it’s good for the planet,” says Mason. “We want them to love it and know that it’s not harmful.”
