Late Aquinnah Casino Bid Surprises Pretty Much Everyone

Now that the Mashpee Wampanoags finally have their casino bid together, it’s time for them to maybe, possibly move over. The Aquinnah tribe’s late bid for a gambling resort in the state’s Southeastern region has taken pretty much everyone by surprise, but it’s too soon to tell whether or not the bid will push through: The tribe likely will end up in court over whether it has legal standing to pursue a casino at all.
