Today, A Prominent Brazilian (Not Named Gisele) Is In Town

Today, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff will make two stops in Cambridge as part of her visit to the United States. The fierce leader will meet with MIT president Susan Hockfield and Harvard president Drew Gilpin Faust to discuss student exchange programs between both countries — and, maybe, just maybe, female world domination.

Brazil-U.S. relations have been booming, even after the recent orange juice hiccup and the jet order cancellation — something Rousseff certainly has questioned President Barack Obama about in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced yesterday in Brazil that two new U.S. Consulates would open in Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre. Who cares? Well, in case you haven’t noticed when driving down Somerville or Framingham (or even just ordering a pizza at Upper Crust), Massachusetts is one of the states with the most Brazilians in the U.S.
