Boston Fashion Week: Firas Yousif Originals Runway Show

All eyes were on the bride—or rather, all eyes and iPhone cameras were on the pretend brides at the Firas Yousif Originals Runway Show last night.

With the high ceilings and pointed arches of Lindsey Chapel at Emmanuel Church serving as the perfect backdrop, designer Firas Yousif unveiled a new collection of couture bridal wear, just a few doors down from his showroom on Newbury Street.

A collection of wedding gowns wasn’t all Yousif had to offer his guests. Before the models glided gracefully down the runway in lace and white tulle to a soundtrack of ethereal vocals filling the chapel, they strutted to the rhythm of Middle Eastern instrumentals, clad in the metallic hues of the designer’s new evening-wear collection.
