What Do World Series Champions Do After a Duck Boat Parade?

The World Series is over, the Duck Boat parade has come to an end, and all there is left to worry about for the Red Sox is figuring out what to do with those beards.

That is, after they do a little post-parade celebrating, of course.

People have been snapping up pictures of some of the champions around the city, taking in all the glory, after they toured Boston during the parade to the roar of millions of cheering fans.

True_NE79 found Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino catching up on some shopping in Copley Square, not far from the Boston Marathon finish line, where the team stopped to do their rendition of “God Bless America,” and pay respects to the victims of the April 15 attack just hours before, during the parade.

Clad in some flip-flops and a red outfit, True_NE79 said he ran into Victorino at Shaws, just bagging up some items with friends.

Meanwhile, Mike Napoli decided removing his shirt and taking a stroll through Boston was the best way to end the day-long celebrations.

As for pitcher Jake Peavy? Well, he is likely trying to figure out where he can park his new Duck Boat in Boston. Immediately following the parade on Saturday morning, the Red Sox tweeted that Peavy had purchased the boat that he was riding on while waving to fans.

Peavy later confirmed the purchase to fans—while thanking them for their support this season—once word got out that he bought the boat. “Wow what a special day! Thank u all from the bottom of my heart! & yes the boat is now mine & hopefully in the family forever!”
