Oenophiles and casual wine enthusiasts alike will love the annual Boston Wine Expo, which runs Saturday and Sunday over Valentine’s Day weekend. The Wine Expo will also have seminars, cooking demos, and most importantly, a whole lot of vino. With hundreds of exhibitors to sample from, the goal here is to pace yourself. Don’t be that guy who starts spilling his glass halfway through the afternoon.

Photographer Scot Miller has spent years traveling around Maine, following in Thoreau’s footsteps. His photo exhibit brings Thoreau’s writing to life with vivid shots of Maine’s beautiful natural scenery. The exhibit is framed with historical context as well as specimens from Harvard’s collections, which includes plant samples collected in Maine by Thoreau himself.
