Take a Free Yoga Class at Night Shift Brewing’s Taproom
There are a lot of amazing places to take a yoga class near Boston. Fenway Park, the Gillette Stadium Field House, in a floral garden, on a rooftop. Now, you can practice your postures in a brewery taproom. The best part? It’s free.
On Sunday, Night Shift Brewing in Everett is hosting a free yoga class with CorePower Yoga‘s Kat O’Leary at 11 a.m. The session takes place in the microbrewery’s massive taproom, which opened last May.
Taproom Manager Alex Navarro says that Night Shift is always looking for ways to combine their love for fitness with their thirst for suds.
“We’re a pretty active group here at the brewery and are always looking for ways to encourage our wonderful community to be active as well,” Navarro says. “I’ve been a big runner and fan of yoga for years. When one of our long time regulars [O’Leary] became a certified yoga instructor, the opportunity really jumped to the forefront.”
After opening the taproom last year, Navarro also began a weekly run club, which takes place in the summer and fall. He says that the group will begin runs again when the weather warms up and is interested in started a hiking club, too.
“Running is a great way to bring new people together and a tasty beer afterwards is the perfect thing to solidify a new friendship with and share the night, Navarro says.
