Allow John Krasinski to Serenade You While Lip Syncing in a Dress
Following the success of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show lip-sync faceoff segment—spotlighting celebs like Emma Stone, Paul Rudd, and Joseph Gordon Levitt—Spike TV is creating a one-off series based on the concept to premiere on April 2.
The premise is still the same: different celebrities will pair up in each episode and try to out-lip-sync each other in front of an audience as dramatically as possible. In the new teaser trailer, John Krasinski and Anna Kendrick go head to head, as well as Fallon and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and Stephen Merchant and Malin Akerman.
Washed out hip-hop artist turned random Grammys host, LL Cool J, is the natural choice as emcee for the show, and model Chrissy Teigen also plays the role of “commentator,” which is both arbitrary and frightening.
