Yes, a water wedding is divine. But last time we checked, your 220-foot Lurssen super-yacht was being serviced.
Enter Boston Harbor Cruises. This three-ship fleet creates a fabulous water celebration for you and your guests—a four-hour tour of the inner harbor, then out to Georges Island, Castle Island, Spectacle Island, Peddocks Island, and Long Island. You’ll take your vows (performed by the captain, if you desire) with breathtaking backdrops of our gorgeous city.
The premiere charter vessel boasts serious majesty. Indeed, the Majesty’s elegance adds something out of a storybook romance, with a spacious, sweeping atrium, three decks for up to 200 guests, and an elevated platform on the upper, open-air deck to hold the ceremony. And since it’s all about the bride, there’s even a private bridal lounge and a grand staircase. Fun fact: Billy Joel married his uptown girl Christie Brinkley on this ship.
If you’re partying with fewer guests, you still can have your time at sea. Choose the Rendezvous, which holds up to 120 people, or the Majestic, perfect for an intimate weddings of 50 people.
Although the views during the private charter are certainly the main course, the wedding packages offer a ton of side dishes, quite literally. You’ll have an hors d’oeuvres reception (think: Petite Lobster Baskets, Tenderloin Crostini Topped with Maytag blue cheese, and Wild Mushroom Phyllo Triangles) and a buffet dinner (like the Chicken Picatta, Native Haddock, and carving stations). Then, along comes your gorgeous customized wedding cake, from red velvet to white cake with truffle fudge filling.
The night ends with dancing, and then you dock hours later back at Long Wharf, debark, and start your new life together on land.
