Paul Pierce Is Getting Old, Doesn’t Understand Emojis
If you’re wondering why your Twitter feed is awash with NBA stars tweeting singular, transportation-themed emojis, don’t feel too out-of-the-loop: Paul Pierce is still wondering what emojis are.
The Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers are locked in a heated race to woo big man Deandre Jordan before midnight, when his moratorium expires and he is eligible to be snatched up in free agency. The Mavs’ Chandler Parsons tweeted a plane emoji, hinting he was en route to Jordan’s home in Houston.

Not to be outdone, J.J. Reddick, Jordan’s teammate on the Clippers, tweeted a car.

Chris Paul, meanwhile, tweeted a banana boat, after he, Dwayne Wade, and LeBron James were spotted riding one.

Paul Pierce, the newest member of the Clippers, wanted in on the fun. But instead of a rocket emoji, Pierce tweeted a glorious, pixelated picture of an emoji.
