Monty Python’s John Cleese Is Coming to Boston
The legendary John Cleese is bringing his brash brand of comedy to Boston this fall.
The Monty Python cofounder and Fawlty Towers star is set to appear at the Cutler Majestic Theatre on Tuesday, November 3, at 7:30 p.m.
From his time with the classic comedy troupe to working on films like A Fish Called Wanda, Cleese will chat with fans about stories from his over five-decade long career, which are also detailed in his 2014 autobiography So, Anyway.
Cleese was previously in town when his book tour stopped by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum last September. This time around, fans who purchase VIP tickets will get a chance to take a photo with the British comedy icon as well as receive a signed copy of his latest book.
Cleese, of course, rose to fame with his countless amazing bits alongside his Monty Python team, including his hilarious turn as the taunting Frenchman from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
And who could forget his amazing run as Basil Fawlty in the fan favorite British comedy series Fawlty Towers.

Even in terrible films like 2001’s Rat Race, Cleese still comes off as a comedy genius.
Tickets go on sale Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at cutlermajestic.org.
