This Is What a Spa Owner Eats for Breakfast
We don’t need to tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In this series, we ask local notables for a sneak peek at how they start the day.
Christine Perkins
Claim to fame: Perkins owns Pyara Spa & Salon, which has locations in Cambridge and Burlington.
What she ate: A fresh fruit and yogurt smoothie; whole grain toast with peanut butter and banana chips.
Why she chose it: “With two children and a crazy schedule, I don’t always have the time to make a big breakfast, but I always work to incorporate fresh fruit with the nutrients of yogurt,” she says. “To complement the smoothie, I give myself the fuel I will need for the day with whole grain bread, peanut butter, and banana chips. Every morning I also follow a strict daily regimen of essential vitamins that my doctor has recommended. Breakfast is the meal that drives your day, so do it right, I like to say.”
