Check Out the First Trailer for John Krasinski’s The Hollars
After dabbling in military dramas with 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, John Krasinksi is heading back to his comedic roots with his latest film The Hollars.
The Newton native both starred in and directed the upcoming flick, which is about a struggling graphic novelist named John who is forced to go back to his childhood home to help his ailing mother. The character ends up in a bit of a love triangle as he reconnects with his ex-girlfriend despite having a pregnant girlfriend.
Krasinski’s sophomore directorial effort debuted to mostly positive reviews at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was quickly acquired by Sony Pictures Classics following its showing at the 2016 festivities. After its run on the festival circuit, the comedy drama will finally be getting a wide release this summer.
