A New Wellness Retreat Is Open in Westborough
There’s nothing quite like the restorative bliss of a wellness retreat escape. But if regular trips to Canyon Ranch and Kripalu don’t exactly fit into your schedule and budget, take heart. A more accessible option is now open in Westborough.
Release Well-Being Center is a new complex dedicated to all things health. The getaway inhabits the restored Nathan Fisher House, which dates back to the 1820s, as well as a brand new 7,000-square-foot facility. The retreat offers more than 100 yoga, meditation, and fitness classes per week; personal training; a full-service spa, including a Himalayan salt room, an infrared sauna, an outdoor mineral spa, and more; a healthy café; a boutique; and wellness coaching and workshops.
Release is a daytime-only facility (meaning no spa weekends), but here’s the cool part: Unlike many overnight retreats, you can purchase a monthly membership the way you would at a regular gym.
A “Transformation” membership, which includes unlimited fitness classes, some spa and relaxation treatments, and discounts on workshops and retail, costs $289 per month for one person, or $449 per month for a couple. A fitness-only membership costs $139 per month, a price on par with area luxury gyms. You may also pay by the class or service.
Want to see what Release is all about? It’s hosting an open house on the afternoon of Saturday, January 28, complete with discounted memberships.
