These Really Cute Baby Falcons Live on Top of a Boston Skyscraper

They made a public appearance in the lobby of the building on Wednesday.

Two weeks ago, four peregrine falcons hatched atop the skyscraper at 177 Huntington Ave. On Wednesday, the baby birds came down into the lobby to say hello to fellow Bostonians.

Transported in two canvas tote bags, the chicks squawked and squirmed. While the newly hatched white fluff balls can easily be toted around now, they’ll soon be nearly impossible to catch—peregrine falcons are the fastest animals in the world. At the Wednesday event, the assistant director of the Mass. Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, Tom French, and Blue Hills Trailside Museum director Norman Smith banded the birds’ legs to begin tracking them before they take off.
