Photos: Launch Event for Ben Mezrich’s “Woolly”
Boston’s best and brightest were out in force at the mammoth launch of local bestselling author Ben Mezrich’s eighteenth book, Woolly: The True Story of the Quest to Revive history’s most Iconic Extinct Creature. Mezrich and his wife Tonya were joined by the main character of the book, Harvard’s own Dr. George Church, one of Time Magazine’s 100 top influential people of 2017, and his scientist wife Dr. Chao-Ting; also attending, other members of the Woolly Mammoth Revival team Bobby Dhadwar, and Justin Quinn, as well as a glittery crew of close Mezrich friends including Linda Henry, Tom Werner, radio personality Kennedy Elsey, restauranteur Michael Schlow, travel guru Tiffany Dowd, GM of the Colonnade Hotel-David Collela, jewelry designer Nicole Romano, and journalist Janet Wu. Guests enjoyed perfect weather under the beautiful umbrellas of Seth Greenberg’s Serafina’s new beer garden, and imbibed on Greenbergs Forever Young Rose and Grapefruit Ale. Woolly is already in the works to become a major motion picture, with Marty Bowen of Twilight and Maze Runner fame producing for 20th century Fox.
