There are few places more sought after in the city during the summer than rooftops and pools. The Colonnade Hotel has both, and they’re even throwing in a little exercise for good measure.

This year, The Colonnade Hotel is rolling out a brand new lineup of fitness offerings. Local yoga instructor Rebecca Pacheco returns again this year for yoga on the rooftop, which takes place every Wednesday morning, but she’ll be joined by three other instructors and fitness professionals she curated herself.

A familiar face, Heartbreak Hill Running Company’s co-founder, and one of the most sought after marathon coaches, Dan Fitzgerald is leading an ab workout, a few miles of running, and then a dip in the pool. Eliza Shirazi will take over the pool deck for a Kick It By Eliza high-intensity boxing class. If you like barre, Katie Boren, a professional ballerina with the American Ballet Theatre in New York City is teaching a ballet fitness class that focuses on stability, core strength, and balance. And in addition to her yoga classes, Pacheco will also host a meditation-only class.

Each class begins bright and early at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday mornings and costs $20. If you’re not particularly fond of waking up with the birds, all the motivation you ever need to get out of bed that early lies in the fact that your ticket also includes a full day pool pass, which is normally $40 for the public. Did we mention there is a full food menu, bar, and cabana service up there? It’s truly like an oasis hovering right above the city.
