Green Monsters Took Over the Boston University Plaza For a Chance to Win World Series Tickets

Hundreds of Boston University students, and Red Sox fans, crowded the Marsh Plaza along Commonwealth Avenue on Tuesday afternoon to try and scoop up tickets to the World Series at Fenway Park, and possibly get their face on television.
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres dropped hints all day on Twitter, offering up some seats to one of the games between the Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals, and told attendees to show up at the plaza dressed as Green Monsters donning red socks.
Okay, Boston, here's the challenge. Dress up like a green monster with red socks, and get down to Marsh Plaza at BU to be on my show!

Excited sports revelers wasted no time getting decked out from head-to-toe in green costumes, with some even going as far as slapping green paint on their skin, or creating giant signs to try and get the attention of DeGeneres.
As they patiently waited for the show to begin taping, people started chanting “Let’s Go Red Sox,” and two people pulled out guitars and got the crowd singing along to the lyrics of “Sweet Caroline.”
