For Audra Bodenstab and Tripp Boyle, Nantucket is really where it all began. After Tripp’s sister introduced the two in college, Audra invited him to spend a weekend on Nantucket, where her family was summering. He ended up staying the week.
So it makes perfect sense why, years later, Tripp popped the question on an annual trip to Great Point Lighthouse. And when it came to reception spots, “it was always Nantucket, and on the water,” says Audra, who owns the South End women’s clothing boutique Looc. They chose the oceanfront property of fine-art photographer Robert Gambee from a list of homes that were available for celebrations. “From the house, you can see the church where we had the ceremony, and you can see Great Point, where we got engaged,” Audra says. “It was all about finding our perfect place.”

The couple rode in a 1929 Model T Depot Hack to the reception. “The Woody was classic and so laid-back Nantucket!” Audra says.

Audra selected her Vera Wang gown for its Italian silk faille, which she says was “lightweight, like a sail.”

Audra was already a fan of Thread, a line she carries at her boutique. She let her ’maids wear their choice of seersucker styles.
