Photos From the Seventh-Annual ‘No Pants Subway Ride’ On the MBTA

It was a warm weekend, and a perfect time to drop some trou on the T.

If you hadn’t noticed—seriously though, how could you not?—the T was teeming with passengers who just couldn’t seem to keep on their trousers this weekend.

Sunday marked the seventh-annual “No Pants Subway Ride” through parts of the city, a nearly-nude extravaganza hosted by BostonSOS.

Participants arrived around 1 p.m. before they were given directions about which route they should take on the MBTA, so they could spread the cheeks out around the transit line and not have too many bums in one place. Once on the trains, in unison, the pants came off, and for hours, unsuspecting riders were forced to “bare” witness to the pasty-legged people standing on the platforms and sitting near them on the T.

Once it was all over, McGreevy’s on Boylston Street welcomed the boisterous group of adventurous T-riders at the end of the day. To prepare, they even went as far as hoisting panties up on a clothesline that ran the length of the bar, and pinned underwear to their walls. Specialty drinks, like the “Absolut Pantsless” and the “Orange Apple Bottom Thong,” became staples on the menu for the day.

Here are some photos from the seventh annual event, in case you purposefully avoided the underground on Sunday:
