‘Dunkin’ Love’ Video Pays Homage to Dunkin’ Donuts With Beyoncé Tune

Yes, this really happened.

There’s no doubt—seriously, not even the slightest—that people on the East Coast are passionately devoted to their Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

Here’s an example. And here’s another.

That being said, it seems as though some fans on the other side of the country might have a leg up (an exposed leg, to be exact) when it comes to the love for the donuts, ice coffee, and other pastry options that the Canton-based company churns out.

Some creative types in California recently put on wigs, slipped into some sultry clothing, and grabbed a Box O’ Joe for a music video paying homage to Dunkin Donuts’ offerings, set to the tune of Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love.”

It’s pretty self explanatory, but we will break it down for you anyways—because Dunkin’ Donuts is a relatively rare commodity in places like California, the people behind “Ratchet Productions” put together this little ditty as a way to try and entice the donut brand to expand its stores into more cities. Clearly it’s because they miss sipping on the coffee, and eating the donut bites, as expressed in their four-and-a-half-minute tribute.

Lucky for them, Dunkin’s is dipping into some new territory in California. But maybe it’s just not enough.

According to Adrian Anchondo, one of the driving forces behind the music video, and the rapper that plays the role of Jay-Z during the song, the entire project was completed on an extremely low budget, and was all in good fun. “This was all done with $100, and a whole lot of good friends, commitment, and a love of making people smile. Thanks for sharing,” he said on his Facebook page.

His close friend Reggie White plays the role of Queen B, as he rolls around on the beach and crams donuts into his face. Meanwhile in the background, Anchondo chugs straight from a carton of Joe’s.

Enjoy.
And for comparison’s sake, here’s Bey’s song:
