It looks like local pizzerias are due for some stiff competition. According to a Craigslist post that went up last night, Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, the famous New Haven, Connecticut pizza chain is looking for managers to head up new locations in Boston. That’s right, location(s), as in plural locales.

Founded in the Wooster Square neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut in 1925, Frank Pepe is one of the oldest and best known pizzerias in the world. Known for their coal-fired brick oven pizzas like their white clam pie (USA Today‘s Best Pizza in America), this New Haven institution has been recognized by everyone from Food & Wine Magazine to CBS News as being some of the country’s best. Since opening its doors, Frank Pepe’s has expanded into seven other locations around Connecticut and New York.

There’s no word yet on specific spots that the pizzeria is targeting around Boston or when they anticipate opening, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as more news is available.
