Mayor Menino Sees What You're Writing About Him

Out to prove what his staff has been telling reporters for weeks – that he’s up and able – Mayor Tom Menino spoke publicly to the media Thursday evening from his rehab facility. After seven weeks out of the public eye, he looks a little worse for the wear, and he didn’t say whether he’ll seek re-eelection again, so this press conference feels like it’s mostly aimed at quelling the growing calls for him to call it quits among newspaper columnists this week (or at least the calls for him to prove he’s sentient from Margary Eagan.)
