Launch Trampoline Park Opens in Watertown

Boston residents now have a new place to go bounce their hearts out.

Get ready to hop to it: Launch Watertown, a brand-new trampoline park, officially opened for business Saturday. The massive venue is available for everything from casual visits to truly unforgettable birthday parties, boasting a whopping 37,000 square feet of bouncy fun.

This is the fifth Launch Trampoline Park location and the first in the Greater Boston area; plans were announced last year. Launch is co-owned by Robert Arnold and retired New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law, with the Watertown franchise owned by Boston native Mark Murphy.

Before you go, here’s what you oughta know:

What do I do at a trampoline park?

Launch is more than just a bunch of giant fabrics stretched over springboards. In addition to “plain old” trampolining, visitors can also play extreme dodgeball and basketball, jump into foam pits, do “tumble runs,” and more.

Great, what else?

The park also has non-bouncy areas like a cafe and arcade. Launch is a fun venue for birthday parties, youth groups, corporate outings, etc.

Can I bring the kids?

There is no age limit, and visitors under 2 get in for free with paid adult admission. Keep in mind, there is a waiver and minors require the usual parent/guardian consent/supervision.

Speaking of admission…

$15 for the first hour, and $10 per hour after that—not considering special group rates and other deals.

What do I wear? What do I bring? Can I just show up?

Reservations are highly recommended, especially for peak hours such as on weekends. Wear comfortable clothes you can move around in easily. Socks are mandatory. Also bring a photo ID; you can store your personal items in lockers on-site.

Let’s talk safety.

Visitors are required to sign a waiver acknowledging that there are risks involved with these sorts of activities. You can review and print the waiver online or sign right on Launch Watertown’s website.

Free Wi-Fi?

Yes.

Who’s that green dude?

Joey the Kangaroo is Launch Trampoline Park’s official mascot. He attends Launch birthday parties and other events. We hear he went to high school with Chuck E. Cheese.

Where else can I get, er, high in Boston?

Sky Zone is another trampoline park in the area. You also might consider parkour (try Parkour Generations Americas) or rock climbing (check out Brooklyn Boulders in Somerville). Oh, and if you really want to feel the burn, try SkyRobics.
