Designer Firas Yousif to Host Bridal Brunch at Algonquin Club

Just when you thought sneaking a peek inside the members-only Algonquin Club of Boston meant donning your ninja gear and sneaking in, here comes a legit event to get you in the door.

On Saturday, March 28, the elegant and charming social club located in the Back Bay will open to the public for “Bridal Brunch: Design Your Wedding.” As part of custom gown designer Firas Yousif’s series of monthly luncheons, this fête is dedicated to the art of the nuptial.

The event, held in the main dining room from noon until about 2 p.m., will offer a light brunch rich in conversation, filled crepes, tea sandwiches, and cut fresh fruit. There’s a full bar available, as well, including champagne of course.

Brunch will come with a fashion show, as Yousif will have four models wearing a total of 25 of his bridal designs throughout the event. Instead of standing stiff in the corner or walking an untouchable catwalk, the models will show off the gowns table-side, a great chance for you to enjoy an up-close-and-personal experience with the dresses, unlike other traditional runway shows.

There will also be tables set up with featured wedding photographers, florists, hair and makeup artists, jewelers, and more including Winston Flowers and Dorfman Jewelers. They’ll have their goods and services displayed and can answer any questions you might have.
