Three Rooftop Yoga Classes (and One Hilltop) Available In Boston
Step away from the gym.
The MFA, the Gardner, and breweries are all offering yoga classes, so there are ample places to get your om on that don’t require a visit to a studio. But now there’s also a new crop of places to practice your postures, and all are outdoors offering a unique perspective of the city.
Below, we found four yoga classes with a view:
Rooftop Yoga with Jenna Hill
Yoga instructor Jenna Hill teaches a weekly rooftop yoga class—on her own roof deck in Southie, on O Street between 6th and 7th. The class is $15 and open to only five students.
Interested students should email Hill at jenna@jennahillyoga.com directly for more information.
Rooftop Yoga Bootcamp
Instructor Meghan Rozanski will lead a rooftop yoga bootcamp every Tuesday in June at 6:45 p.m. on the roof of the Garrison Square Apartments. The class, which costs $12, features fusion moves like a “burpie chaturanga,” so come prepared to sweat while you get zen.
Garrison Square Apartments, 32 Garrison St., Boston; movewith.com.
Poolside Rooftop Yoga
Back for the second year, the Colonnade Hotel is offering poolside rooftop yoga classes taught by instructor Rebecca Pacheco every Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. The class alone is $15, or $35 for class and a one-day pool pass.
The Colonnade Hotel, 120 Huntington Ave., Boston; colonnadehotel.com.
Pilates & Yoga on the Hill
This one may be hilltop yoga instead of rooftop, but you get the idea. Under the supervision of instructor Hanneke Antonelli, you can take yoga on Bunker Hill on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., or Pilates on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. BYO mat and pre-register online.
Bunker Hill, Charlestown. Visit pilateswithhanneke.com for more information.
