Erin Gates and Simon Pearce Share Fall Design Advice
With fall a season of at-home get togethers and upcoming holiday plans, where even the most design cautious may dust off a candlestick or two in the hopes of welcoming guests to a Norman Rockwell-like table setting, inspiration is key. To get a start on the season, join glassmaker Simon Pearce and designer Erin Gates of Elements of Style for a celebration at the Simon Pearce Store on Newbury Street, Thursday, October 1, from 6-8 p.m.
The two New Englanders know style—Pearce, with an artisan approach rooted in Ireland, who designs out of his workshop in Quechee, Vermont, and Gates, the Newton resident whose fresh designs and honest decor tips have made her book a New York Times best-seller.
At the event, elegant entertaining advice and refreshments are promised. Admission is free, and Erin will give away signed copies of her book to the first 15 people to arrive. Featured designs will likely include handcrafted carafes and stemware, and new table decor.
Thursday, October 1, 6-8 p.m., Simon Pearce, 103 Newbury Street.
