Get Ready Boston, Miley Cyrus Is Coming to Town

She's bringing her 'Dead Petz' tour to the House of Blues.

Boston better get ready because Miley Cyrus is bringing her “Dead Petz” tour to town later this year.

The controversial pop star is kicking off a six city, limited club run on November 21 in Chicago and will be ending the tour at the House of Blues in Boston on December 6. The Flaming Lips will once again be joining Cyrus as her colorful back up group, affectionately called the Dead Petz.

The show will be Cyrus’ first in Boston since she blew the roof off of the TD Garden when her “Bangerz” tour stopped by the city on April 2, 2014. The concert was also an emotional one for the popular performer as she broke down into tears on stage due to the death of her dog Floyd earlier that week.

Cyrus sang the Fleetwood Mac classic “Landslide” as an ode to her departed pooch during a soundcheck before last year’s show.

The death of Floyd has been a major influence on Cyrus’ recent work. In an interview with the New York Times, she stated that her latest mixtape Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz—which she released for free online—was partly inspired by the passing of her dog.

Expect Cyrus to pay tribute to Floyd and her other fallen pets when her show comes to the House of Blues in December.

Tickets for the show go on sale Wednesday, October 7 at 4 p.m. and can be purchased at livenation.com.
