Watch: Jennifer Lawrence Stars in New Joy Trailer
After teasing us with a sneak peek over the summer, the first full trailer for Jennifer Lawrence’s Joy finally hit the web on Wednesday.
The David O. Russell-directed film was shot around Massachusetts over the winter, which of course caused a flurry of interest since it brought J. Law to Boston. The Academy Award-winning actress was spotted in a variety of places around town, from grabbing dumplings in Chinatown to flipping the bird to paparazzi during a brutal February snow storm.
While her stay her in Boston wasn’t always a pleasant one, the end result seems to have paid off as the new Joy trailer looks impressive.
In the upcoming drama, Lawrence plays Miracle Mop creator Joy Mangano, a hard nosed entrepreneur and inventor who tries to build a successful business amidst family and financial issues.
Lawrence’s Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle co-stars Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper will join her in Joy, as we as Edgar Ramirez, Diane Ladd, Virginia Madsen, Isabella Rossellini, Elisabeth Röhm, and Dascha Polanco.
Check out the trailer below.
Joy hits theaters on December 25.
