Watch Stephen Colbert Sing ‘Mockingbird’ with Carly Simon

'If you're looking for somebody with that Carly Simon feeling, really, Carly Simon is the one you want to do it with.'

Stephen Colbert has been showing off his pipes a lot lately.

After crooning with Boston-born folk star James Taylor last week, the Late Show host got the chance to sing with Carly Simon on Tuesday night.

The Martha’s Vineyard resident stopped by to chat about her new memoir Boys in the Trees and, somehow, Colbert was able to coax the music icon into doing an impromptu performance of her hit “Mockingbird” with him.

“If you’re looking for somebody with that Carly Simon feeling, really, Carly Simon is the one you want to do it with,” Colbert joked.

Check out their performance in the video above.

Following the duet, Simon sang a track off of the musical companion to her new book called Songs From The Trees.

The folk legend performed the song “I Can’t Thank You Enough” with her son and fellow musician Ben Taylor, which you can check out below.
