Jennifer Lawrence Had a Pretty Awful Boston Experience

It clearly wasn't a Joy filming in town.

Between battling the snow, the paparazzi, and even director David O. Russell, Jennifer Lawrence’s time in Boston while filming Joy last winter was anything but pleasant.

If all of that wasn’t enough, it turns out the actress was also fighting off a pretty serious stomach virus during her trip to the city. Lawrence revealed on Monday’s episode of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert that her illness turned a scene involving a make out session with one of her co-stars into a less than glamorous affair.

“I was puking and, the poor guy, I had to make out with somebody,” Lawrence said. “We were like spinning and I’d start puking, and then I’d do mouthwash and be like, ‘Are you ready?’ Licking my chops.”

“That’s how you win a Golden Globe, my friend,” Colbert quipped.

In another very TMI moment, Lawrence added that she’s a “very big puker,” probably because she’s constantly working and promoting her movies.

“I just keep going until, eventually, my body is just like, ‘If we don’t make her barf or pass out, she won’t stop,'” Lawrence said. “I get like Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol.”
