Lazy Sunday: What to Binge This Week – January 17-23, 2016

If you’re looking to lounge around the house on Sunday and need something to do, we have a few suggestions for what you should be binging on.

At long last the final season of Parks and Recreation—starring Burlington native Amy Poehler—has made its way to Netflix. Plus, New Kids on the Block heartthrob Danny Wood just released his latest album, Look at Me.

Unfriended: If you’re looking for a good scare this weekend, check out this creepy 2014 horror movie about high school students who are terrorized by an anonymous online antagonist. The film is told entirely through one of the character’s laptop screen. (HBO Go)

The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared: This Swedish comedy about a 100-year-old man who escapes from a retirement home was recently nominated for a Best Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar. (Amazon Prime)

Hyde Park on Hudson: Bill Murray stars as Franklin D. Roosevelt in this 2012 British comedy drama. The film recounts the 1939 visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Hyde Park. (Netflix)

TV

Angie Tribeca: Massachusetts native Steve Carell and his wife Nancy created this satire on police shows, which stars Rashida Jones. While it’s not technically a streaming show, TBS will be airing every episode of season one back-to-back and commercial free on Sunday. (TBS)

Parks and Recreation: The final season of the NBC comedy is finally streaming on Netflix. Grab a tissue box and try not to cry too much as you relive all of the memorable moments from Poehler’s last run as Leslie Knope. (Netflix)

Mozart in the Jungle: Amazon’s hit original series takes a look at New York’s classical music scene. The show recently earned a Golden Globe award for best comedy and best actor in a comedy for Gael Garcia Bernal. (Amazon Prime)

Look at Me, Danny Wood: The NKOTB member’s seventh solo studio album will donate a portion of the proceeds to Remember Betty, the musician’s charity organization which honors his late mother who died of breast cancer. (Spotify, iTunes)
