MTV Is Holding Real World Auditions in Boston
MTV’s long-running reality series the Real World will be holding auditions in Boston this spring.
The show about “seven strangers picked to live in a house” who “stop being polite and start getting real” will have an open casting call at Tequila Rain on Saturday, April 2.
“We look for characters from real life; people with strong personalities who are unafraid to speak their minds,” Real World executive producer Jonathan Murray said in a statement.
According to a press release, the perfect candidate should have a “larger-than-life personality” and “a personal magnetism that draws attention whenever they walk in the room.” Considering that most Bostonians aren’t afraid to give their unsolicited opinions, locals should have a good shot at making it onto the show.
Boston famously hosted the series in 1997 when the Real World cast took over an historic firehouse that was converted on 127 Mt. Vernon Street.
If you plan on attending the auditions, make sure to bring a photo ID as well as a recent picture, which will not be returned. Anyone who wants to be on the show must be 21 years or older by June of 2016.
Applicants who can’t come to the casting call can submit their applications through email.
The Real World auditions will be held between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2,at Tequila Rain, 3 Landsdowne Street. For more information, check out bmpcasting.com.
