Elizabeth Warren Blasts Donald Trump on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Elizabeth Warren continued her assault on Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump during her appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Massachusetts senator, who went after Trump in a recent series of tweets, once again called the controversial candidate a “loser” as she blasted his campaign on Wednesday night. Warren doesn’t believe that Trump is the right guy to fix the economy, despite his business experience.
“When the economy is in this kind of trouble, calling on Donald Trump for help is like if your house is on fire, calling an arsonist to come help,” Warren said.
She called out the Republican frontrunner over his claims that he’s an expert at building businesses, pointing out that he received his fortune from his father and was able to maintain it through unscrupulous practices.
“He is not a business success, he is a business loser,” Warren said. “He started out rich. He cheated his way to getting richer. That is not going to build an America for hardworking people.”
She added, “He’s going to leave them in the dirt like he’s left everybody else in the dirt.”
As for the Democratic race for the White House, Warren wouldn’t say whether she’s going to endorse Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton, but praised them for not devolving into a circus like their friends in the GOP.
When asked if she would consider running for president, Warren just said that she was happy with her current job.
“Every single day I get out there and do what the people of Massachusetts sent me to do,” she said. “And God, this is a fabulous job.”
