Tom Brady Wants Matt Damon to Play Him in a Movie
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Hollywood turn Tom Brady’s life into a movie whenever the Patriots star decides he’s tired of winning Super Bowl rings.
Between his luxury brand commercials and cameos in Mark Wahlberg-related properties like Entourage and Ted, Brady definitely has the acting chops to play himself on screen. However, if he had to choose one actor to play him in a biopic, that honor would have to go to Matt Damon.
Brady revealed his choice in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“He’s a great actor, and he’s from Boston, so we’ve got a few things in common,” Brady said.
Hopefully devoted Patriots fans and fellow Boston actors like Marky Mark and Chris Evans aren’t too bummed out by Brady’s pick. Perhaps they can take solace in the fact that the quarterback doesn’t have high praise for Damon’s skills on the gridiron.
“I’ve seen him throw a football, though,” Brady told the magazine. “He definitely needs to work on that.”
If playing Brady ends up not working out for Damon, at least we know that he can play the Deflategate locker room guy.
In addition to revealing his big screen pick, Brady also told Harper’s Bazaar that his favorite football movie is the hilariously awful Wildcats, starring Goldie Hawn, Woody Harrelson, and Wesley Snipes.
“That’s my absolute favorite, with Goldie Hawn,” Brady said. “You’ll love it.”
