Watch: Spike’s Guys Choice Pays Tribute to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s ‘Love Story’

They earned the Guys of the Decade award at this year's ceremony.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s bromance finally got the recognition it deserved at Spike’s 2016 Guys Choice Awards.

This year’s ceremony—which took place on Saturday, June 4 but aired on Thursday, June 9—honored the actors’ enduring friendship by giving them the coveted Guys of the Decade award.

After a hilarious video tribute to Damon and Affleck’s “love story,” Robert De Niro presented the Cambridge-raised stars with their golden horn statues on stage.

“You’ve known each other for 37 years now, growing up together from kids playing in the streets of Boston to Hollywood stars,” De Niro said. “It’s been clear since Good Will Hunting that there was something special going on.”

During their acceptance speech, which you can check out above, Damon and Affleck cracked a few jokes at the expense of some of the other nominees who weren’t “quite as decade worthy.”

“F–k you guys, you know what I mean?” Affleck joked when Damon mentioned his Ocean’s Eleven co-stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

The pair went on to list a slew of other best buddies who didn’t make the cut, including Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith, as well as Han Solo and Chewbacca.

“We’re honored to share this fake award with all of you,” Damon said.

The bromantic celebration continued this week as Affleck paid tribute to his pal with a nostalgic Instagram post for National Best Friends Day.
