Thanks to Deflategate, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will be without his four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady through the first four weeks of the 2016-17 season. Jimmy Garoppolo, who impressed in his first day of training camp, will likely lead the Pats until Brady returns for Week 5.
At a press conference Friday morning, a bare-armed Belichick addressed speculation that, in the event Garoppolo shines through a 4-0 or 3-1 start this year, Brady would ride the bench upon his return until needed.
Belichick, asked if there was a scenario in which Garoppolo would be named starter in Week 5, shakes head and mutters "Jesus Christ"

The rosters aren’t even set yet, but ol’ Bill is already in postseason form. Should be a fun first four weeks of the season, beat writers!
