Speaking to a crowd in North Carolina Tuesday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump implied that “Second Amendment people” might be able to prevent Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton from appointing liberal judges.

“By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know,” said the candidate still endorsed, as of Wednesday morning, by Speaker Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Sen. John McCain, and State Rep. Geoff Diehl.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, just a day after she took Trump’s economic plan behind the woodshed on Twitter, blasted the GOP nominee yet again, calling him a “pathetic coward.”

The Clinton campaign issued a brief statement shortly after Trump’s remarks: “This is simple—what Trump is saying is dangerous. A person seeking to the be president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.”
