Plane Struck by Lightning Lands at Logan

A plane that had reportedly been struck by lightening landed safely at Logan Airport in Boston Monday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration reports that a JetBlue flight traveling from New York to Bermuda made an emergency landing at Logan around 9:30 a.m. No one was injured, according to CBS Boston.
The FAA had earlier warned that the storm traveling up the East Coast might delay flights.
In-air lightning strikes are common and, due to advances in aviation engineering not typically dangerous, but can be a bright, noisy event for passengers.
Meanwhile, don’t be concerned if you see smoke rising from Logan today. The airport tweeted this morning that it would be running training exercises from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
Boston Logan Airport will be conducting training on the airfield today from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. Fire and smoke will be visible.
