Instagram Art Gallery Debuts in Boston This Weekend

A social media inspired art gallery is set to debut in Boston this weekend.
The Sheraton Boston Hotel has partnered with Instagramers Boston, an online community of over 70,000 photographers and artists, to create a locally-driven art exhibition. The hotel will host the RSVP only, IGersBoston Gallery event on Friday, October 21, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
From stunning skyline shots to sun-drenched images of Quincy Market, the collection features 120 user submitted photos of Boston and the Bay State area. Up to 200 guests are expected to attend the gallery event, which will also include a silent auction. Proceeds from prints that are sold will go to benefit Transition House, a Massachusetts nonprofit that deals with domestic violence intervention and education.
