Tavern Road Debuts New Fall Menu
Gone are the tank tops and sandals of only a few weeks ago; now that it’s November, we’ve moved on to fully embrace warm, fuzzy layers. And over at Fort Point’s Tavern Road—one of our favorite late-night dining spots—they’ve got a cozy fall wardrobe, too: They’ve refreshed their menu with a whole new slew of shareable comfort food.
For those seeking hearty fare, you’re in luck—but, as you might expect, chef Louie DiBiccari is not going the standard meat-and-potatoes route. “Chef Louie’s new dinner menu features sharable small plates that pay homage to the vibrant vittles often sold by cart in Peru, Mexico, France, Italy and Spain,” Tavern Road announced in a press release. But while the flavors are global, the focus is still local: “Made with the best New England ingredients, this is globally inspired street food that’s locally sourced,” adds.
On the menu: duck and yellow bean pupusas ($9), parsnip and potato pierogies ($8), lamb meatball tostadas ($14), and Peruvian roasted chicken thighs ($12). But even with the overhaul, they’ve held onto a few old favorites—much to our relief, those fried chickpea bites ($6) remain.
And while we’re awfully fond of their late-night bites, know that as of this month, they’re opening the restaurant for a full lunch service. Don’t feel like lingering? Though they’ve shuttered the TR Street Foods takeout lunch counter, you can still order your meal to-go.
