There’s no disputing that most Bostonians plan to spend Thanksgiving with family, whether at home or out and about. But if you can’t get enough of the fall feast, stuff your face with “gobbler” sandwiches and more Turkey Day-inspired specials at these local restaurants, before and even after the holiday. Eat up—there’s plenty to go around.

American Provisions

The farm-to-table specialty shop debuted a Pilgrim sandwich this fall, loaded with turkey, brie, apple slices, arugula, onion, and dijonnaise, all between two slices of cranberry bread.

Dig Inn

The Boylston Street spot is known for its market bowls and locally sourced breakfast plates, but it’s dishing out a special sandwich in honor of Turkey Day. Appropriately named the Thanksgiving sandwich, it comes with turkey, house-made cranberry sauce, spicy-sweet Brussels sprouts, and stuffing. Uh, yes please.

Five Horses Tavern

The restaurant has three festive specials between its two locations: the Gobbler Thanksgiving sandwich, with fried turkey breast, pumpkin purée, and cranberry-Brussels sprout slaw; a roast turkey dinner featuring maple-honey-brined turkey breast, gravy, potato hash, cornbread stuffing, glazed carrots, and chutney; and a green bean casserole-style bowl of loaded tots. All three specials run through Thanksgiving, and the restaurants are open that night, too.

Kirkland Tap & Trotter

The Somerville hangout is hosting a complimentary, make-your-own sandwich bar on Thanksgiving night, featuring classic leftovers dishes from chef Tony Maws. The buffet kicks off at 7:30 p.m. And don’t worry, the bar will be open, too.

Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant

For the Friday Brunch Test Kitchen right after Thanksgiving, the South Boston restaurant is serving a special ‘hot pocket’ with smoked turkey, cranberry sauce, and bone marrow gravy. But if you’re too full to try chef Nick Dixon’s handheld snack, the restaurant will also begin serving a smoked turkey hash special after the holiday. The hash features roasted sweet potatoes, duck fat potatoes, onions, and smoked bacon. It will run on the restaurant’s regular menu daily into December.

$5 /$16, Lincoln Tavern, 425 W. Broadway, South Boston, 617-765-8636, lincolnsouthboston.com.

Mike’s City Diner

Chef Jay Hajj’s Pilgrim sandwich is already a Boston-area classic, with roast turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and heaps of gravy between a sesame roll available any day of the year. Years later, that sandwich is still drawing national praise.

Sweet Cheeks Q

Tiffani Faison has covered a lot of ground in the five years Sweet Cheeks has been open, and her biscuits are a major contributor to her success. So instead of the more traditional Thanksgiving side dish, eat those biscuits in stuffing form, and thank us later.

Sweet Cheeks Q, 1381 Boylston St., Fenway/Kenmore, 617-266-1300, sweetcheeksq.com.

Wahlburgers

The burger joint is flipping Thanksgiving Day burgers just in time for the holiday. Each one starts with a turkey patty, and is topped with stuffing, orange cranberry sauce, roasted butternut squash, and mayo.

$7.95, Wahlburgers, 132 Brookline Ave., Fenway/Kenmore, 617-927-6810, and other locations, wahlburgersrestaurant.com.
